What began as a project among a few seminary deans has now become a ministry of theological education and enrichment for anyone, anywhere, at any time. The Institute of Theological Studies was founded to provide reliable, accessible, advanced independent learning studies for seminary students. Thirty years and sixty courses later, ITS not only assists students across North America, but also brings theological resources to students around the world, Christian leaders everywhere, and believers who want to know God and His Word on a deeper level.
The Institute of Theological Studies makes the best evangelical professors accessible to anyone, anywhere, anytime through audio courses and seminars on CD and mp3 with the goal that as you engage our professors’ material and study God’s Word that you will grow in faith and love.
Richard E. Averbeck, Ph.D., recently commented on ITS:
“When you love someone you pay close attention to what they say and you respond accordingly. Paying close attention to what God has said is one of the most profound and meaningful ways we have to show that we love Him. This is what the ITS ministry is all about: helping us to hear and understand God’s Word and His words more fully and work it more faithfully into our lives and ministries. This is a glorious thing to be about.”
Walter C. Kaiser, Jr., Ph.D., has also praised the role of ITS:
“ITS brings theological education to those who otherwise could not experience such a rich selection of teachers and subjects. While many have sought to imitate what ITS has long since perfected, ITS remains the leader in the field by virtue of its experience, unrivaled list of distinguished contributors, and its annual consultation of the deans of leading seminaries.”
